Llewelyn Davies (UK) has been selected by the Société de Gestion des Services et Infrastructures Aéroportuaires (SGSIA) to study and develop a concept for the new passenger terminal zone – Groupement Terminal Ouest at the Aeroport d’Alger in Algiers, the capital city of Algeria.

About the project

To handle the ever-increasing travel needs of the region, it is proposed that a new Terminal Ouest will be designed to handle 10 million passengers per annum and include new aircraft parking areas and taxiing areas airside, linked to the existing runways. Additional landside vehicular parking zones are also provided and are linked to the existing roadway network and proposed new infrastructure services. Our solution presents a phased approach that can be implemented in stages to provide flexibility for the future growth demands of the region. Construction commenced in early 2014 and completed in 2019.
