Llewelyn Davies delivered a set of Imaging refurbishment projects across Hillingdon and Mount Vernon. Inclusive of the successful relocation of the one-stop Mammography service, as well as a new CT and Interventional Suite; all were constructed during the COVID-19 pandemic. We remained responsive & flexible to the additional demands this created and collaborated closely with the client team, allowing all parties to remain nimble to necessary functional changes.
About the project
The CT required the expansion and remodelling of the scanner and control room to ensure effective care delivery. The Interventional involved modifying a redundant plain film X-ray room and associated services while allowing an adjacent interventional scanner to remain active. The Mammography involved remodelling the Treatment Centre inclusive of the successful relocation of the reception team. All projects were accomplished with no disruption to existing services.

- Working closely with all parties allowed a successful response to COVID-19 with seamless integration of changes
- Relocation of the Mammography due to pandemic pressures was not part of the original brief.
